These pH indicator sticks are ideal for pH determination in the range pH 0 to pH 14. The rigid plastic sticks measure 85 mm (length) x 6 mm (width) and feature four separate pH test zones to cover the intended pH range. Each test zone has been infused with a non-bleeding pH indicator compound, optimized to prevent contamination of the solution and to allow measurement of highly alkaline or weakly buffered solutions. When testing pH, the strips produce a permanent color change, even when left in place, e.g. when testing solutions with low ionic strength. An immediate result is obtained by comparing the color of the four test zones with the enclosed pH color chart. The pH color chart accurately matches both the color and position of the pads on the strips. Results are easy to interpret and can be reliably determined, as pH graduations are in steps of 1. The pH indicator sticks are suitable for many applications, both in the laboratory and in the field. They have the advantage over other pH measurement methods that they do not require additional equipment compared to liquid test kits and digital meters. This makes them more portable, durable and easily replaceable. The pH indicator sticks are supplied in packs of 100 disposable sticks. They can be stored unopened for 2 years out of sunlight.
