PBP2 Latex Agglutination Test (1x50 pieces)

This test is a rapid latex agglutination assay for the detection of PBP2 (also referred to as PBP2a) in Staphylococcus isolates to aid in the identification of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci. The sensitivity of the latex test in detecting MRSA with any medium was 100%; specificity was 99% for TSA with blood and 100% for tests with all other media. Results are read within 3 minutes. Store the kit at 2-8°C.
