APEX(+) Screw Cap with O-Ring, compatible with blue insert (1000 pieces)

These colourful caps feature a deep internal skirt which seals tightly against the inner wall of the tube. This prevents the contents from contacting the seal or threads, reducing the risk of sample contamination. Made from polypropylene, the same material as the tubes, both the caps and tubes will expand and contract at the same rate in response to changes in temperature (e.g. freezing or thawing), minimising the possibility of leakage. Furthermore, they have been tested together for 95 kPa compliance, making them suitable for sample transport in accordance with UN3373 regulations when combined with appropriate secondary (e.g. Specisafe SH0100SS, SH0300SS, and SH1300SS) and tertiary packaging (e.g. SH1000 or SH1200).


The top of the cap features a recess into which a colour-coded cap insert (CP3346 series) can be fitted for easy sample identification. The cap inserts are also available in a variety of colours, you can choose from blue, green, purple, orange, red, white or yellow. This means a wide range of colour combinations can be generated for colour-coding samples in the laboratory. 


The caps are compatible with both the APEX plus and APEX White Label series of tubes.


The caps are manufactured in a clean environment and are certified RNase, DNase, DNA and Pyrogen free.
