APEX(+) Flat Screw Cap with O-Ring, white (no insert possible) (1000 pcs)

These colourful caps incorporate a deep internal lip that fits tightly against the inner wall of the tube. This prevents the contents from coming into contact with the seal or the thread, thus reducing the risk of sample contamination. As they are manufactured from polypropylene, the same material as the tubes, both caps and tubes expand and contract at the same rate in response to temperature changes (e.g. during freezing or thawing), thereby minimising the possibility of leakage. In addition, they have been tested together for 95 kPa compliance, making them suitable for sample transport in accordance with UN3373 regulations when combined with appropriate secondary packaging (e.g. Specisafe SH0100SS, SH0300SS and SH1300SS) and tertiary packaging (e.g. SH1000 or SH1200).


The top of the cap features a recess into which a colour-coded cap insert (CP3346 series) can be fitted for easy sample identification. The cap inserts are also available in a variety of colours; you can choose from blue, green, purple, orange, red, white or yellow. This means that a wide range of colour combinations can be generated to colour-code samples in the laboratory.

The caps are compatible with APEX plus and APEX White Label series tubes.

The caps are manufactured in a clean environment and are certified free of RNase, DNase, DNA and pyrogens.
