50 ml APEX Essential Centrifuge Tube, with rim, loose, sterile (2 x 50 pcs.)

Alpha Laboratories’ APEX® Essential 50ml sterile conical centrifuge tubes are manufactured from high-quality medical-grade polypropylene. The tubes have been designed for everyday centrifugation and storage requirements and can withstand a centrifugation force of up to 10,000 g. Both the caps and the centrifuge tubes are autoclavable (caps should not be autoclaved separately from the tubes) and can be used within a temperature range of -90 to 122 °C. Each tube has an overall length of 115mm, an outside diameter of 29mm, and an inside diameter of 25mm.


The centrifuge tubes are lot-to-lot tested and certified free of DNA, DNase, RNase, and Pyrogen/Endotoxin. They are also certified trace metal-free. If the product is marked sterile, sterilisation is by gamma irradiation. The sterilisation process follows ISO 11137 sterility procedures. The APEX® Essential centrifuge tubes are manufactured using top-quality moulds and are printed by a high-speed rotational process with reagent/chemical resistant inks. They feature large white solvent-resistant writing areas and black easy-to-read graduations in 5ml increments with an accuracy of ± 5%. The easy-to-label flat cap design includes an integral elastomer sealing ring. This allows the user to seal the tube with a ¾ turn to an evaporative seal. A further ¼ turn makes the seal liquid-tight. This easy-to-grip cap design is easy to use even when wearing gloves. In addition, these rimmed centrifuge tubes are certified leakproof to IATA-95-kPa standard.


Not only do the centrifuge tubes excel in performance, but they are also eco-friendly. They are manufactured using zero-waste electronic moulds, consuming 40% less energy. Printing is done with zero VOC pollutants. The 50ml APEX® Essential centrifuge tubes are supplied in bulk in 2 packs of 50 tubes.
