5.0 ml Cryo Tubes, Round Bottom, Internal Thread (100 pcs.)

Designed for the safe storage of biological material as well as human or animal cells at extremely low temperatures, Alpha features three series of CE-marked cryogenic storage vials.

All products in this range are certified RNase, DNase, Pyrogen and DNA free. Alpha Laboratories' cryovials are available in either self-standing or round bottom format. All types feature an internal rounded base for easy sample retrieval.
Robust vial and closure - a special grade of polypropylene is used for the manufacture of all our vials, selected for its consistent strength. This allows both the vial and cap to withstand the high temperature of liquid nitrogen vapour phase at -196°C and the thick wall makes the vial virtually unbreakable.
Please note that they are not suitable for use in the liquid phase.
Secure seal - cap and tube are made of the same material, ensuring they shrink and expand at the same rate with changes in temperature, providing an equally secure seal at both room temperature and low cryogenic temperatures.
Quick open/close - 1 ¼ turns are sufficient to securely close the cap. This is important when large quantities of vials are being used, as it saves time and reduces the risk of the cap not being securely sealed.

Easy one-handed operation - all self-standing vials, when used with a workstation (LW3400B or LW3400R), allow for one-handed unscrewing of the vials. Vertical ribs facilitate cap removal.
Clear graduation - in 100 µl intervals to facilitate reading your sample volume.
Large white marking area - for sample labelling and identification.
Tubes can be colour coded with a cap insert (LW3339 series) and are compatible with most storage systems. Cap inserts are available in 11 different colours. Cap inserts are not compatible with LW3439.
Only round-bottom vials can be centrifuged at up to 17,000 g.
Sterile - all vials are gamma irradiated to ensure absolute sterility.
Certified free of RNase, DNase, pyrogens, human DNA, and metals.
Supplied in tamper-evident, re-sealable bags - clean and sterile.


Feel the Seal range
Internal thread - with silicone O-ring
It's true, you really feel when the cap is tightly closed. A positive leak-proof seal is enhanced by a specially designed silicone O-ring around the cap.
As you tighten, you can feel the quality of your seal as you compress the O-ring between the tube wall and the cap, creating a tight, leak-proof closure.
Ideal for storing important large-volume samples.
