4.0 ml self-standing cryo tubes (100 pcs)

Alpha is designed for the safe storage of biological material and human or animal cells at extremely low temperatures, featuring three ranges of CE-marked cryogenic storage vials.

All products in this range are certified RNase, DNase, Pyrogen, and DNA free. Alpha Laboratories' cryogenic vials are available in either freestanding or round bottom designs. All types feature an internal rounded base for easy sample retrieval.

Robust Vial and Closure – A special grade of polypropylene is used to manufacture all of our vials, chosen for its consistent strength. This ensures that both the vial and the cap can withstand the harsh temperature of liquid nitrogen vapor phase of -196 °C, and the thick wall makes the vial virtually unbreakable.
Please note they are not suitable for use in the liquid phase.


Secure Seal – Cap and tube are made from the same material, ensuring they contract and expand at the same rate with temperature changes, providing an equally secure seal at both room temperature and low deep-freeze temperatures.
Quick Opening/Closing – 1 ¼ turns are sufficient to securely close the cap. This is important when using large quantities of vials, as it saves time and reduces the risk of the cap not being securely closed.

Easy One-Handed Operation – All freestanding vials allow for one-handed uncapping when used with a workstation (LW3400B or LW3400R). Vertical ribs facilitate cap removal.
Clear Graduations – in 100 µL intervals, to facilitate reading your sample volume.

Large White Marking Area – for sample identification and labelling.
Tubes can be colour coded with a cap insert (LW3339 range) and are compatible with most storage systems. Cap inserts are available in 11 different colours. Cap inserts are not compatible with LW3439.
Only round bottom vials can be centrifuged at up to 17,000 g.
Sterile – all vials are gamma irradiated to ensure absolute sterility.
Certified free from RNase, DNase, Pyrogens, Human DNA, and Metals.
Supplied in tamper-evident, re-sealable bags – clean and sterile.

The Classic Range
- Designed for basic safety
The internal thread with a silicone washer between the cap and vial ensures a leak-proof seal at all temperatures. Designed to improve safety compared to standard screw-cap microcentrifuge tubes.
"The Classic" uses a square-section washer that is tightly compressed between the cap and the top of the tube wall, ensuring a secure, leak-proof seal at all temperatures.
