30 ml Universal Container PP/PP, unlabelled, sterile (400 pcs.)
Manufactured from virgin non-cytotoxic polystyrene or polypropylene. These 30ml universal containers are CE marked in accordance with the European IVD Directive 98/79/EC. For in vitro use only. The unique leak-tight cap provides an exceptional leak-proof seal.
These plastic disposable sample containers have undergone process validation to ensure they are leak-tight at a pressure differential of not less than 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi). The sample containers were tested according to the following procedure as per US Standard Department of Transportation Code Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49, Parts 100–185 (October 2011 edition): The primary receptacle or secondary packaging used for infectious substances must be capable of withstanding, without leakage, an internal pressure producing a pressure differential of not less than 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi).
The detailed procedure is as follows:
1. Mark all samples with numbers ready for testing.
2. Fill all containers to at least 98% with coloured carbonated fluid.
3. Place the containers in the vacuum chamber/vessel and set the vacuum to 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi) for 10 minutes. During the process, a visual inspection for individual or streaming bubbles is performed and the finding is recorded.
4. After 10 minutes, remove all samples, place them upside down on a surface covered with white table protection, and check for any leakage of coloured carbonated fluid. Any leakage is considered a failure and rejected.
Passing this test means that these universal containers, when used in conjunction with the appropriate secondary packaging (Specisafe SH0600SS or SH1400SS) and tertiary packaging (SH1000 or SH1200) and labelling, are suitable for sample transport according to UN3373 packing instruction.
This universal container is made from polypropylene with a polypropylene screw cap and printed label. Supplied sterile. The spoon sealed in the cap facilitates the sampling of faecal or other semi-solid samples.
