2.0 ml MCT screw cap with rim, amber NS 500
APEX® screw cap microcentrifuge tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing, and storage. These freestanding, versatile, and durable tubes are made from high-clarity medical-grade polypropylene and are designed for use in various laboratory environments. The APEX® 2.0 mL graduated screw cap tube with a skirted base is 44.45 mm high, with an opening that has an outer diameter of 10.41 mm and an inner diameter of 8.64 mm. For more accurate estimation of sample volume, the graduations are in 100 µl increments. The amber color makes this tube suitable for working with light-sensitive samples. It is compatible with the APEX® Standard Screw-Cap, the APEX® Tethered Screw-Cap, and the APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Cap, which are available in a variety of colors and can be ordered separately. A large selection of racks is also available for working at the benchtop or for secure, long-term freezer storage of tubes. The tubes and caps are manufactured from the same material and exhibit the same coefficients of expansion to ensure uniform expansion and contraction rates when subjected to temperature changes. Tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000 x g and are suitable for use in a temperature range of -196 °C to 121 °C, making them suitable for boiling applications and frozen sample storage. However, they should not be submerged in liquid nitrogen. APEX® screw cap microcentrifuge tubes are certified RNase, DNase, and DNA free. Sterile versions are gamma irradiated and certified pyrogen free. They come in a pack of 500.
