APEX® soft-release microcentrifuge tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing, and storage. These versatile and durable conical bottom tubes are manufactured from UltraClear® copolymer polypropylene and are solidly constructed for high-speed centrifugation. The tube is designed with a wide-opening flange that facilitates one-handed opening. The reduced closure resistance of the tubes makes processing large quantities of samples significantly easier. The APEX® 1.5ml conical bottom graduated flip-cap tube is 39.11 mm high and has an opening with an outer diameter of 10.67 mm and an inner diameter of 9.14 mm. The flip-cap has an outer diameter of 13.21 mm. APEX® soft-release microcentrifuge tubes are graduated in 100 µl increments for more accurate sample volume estimation and feature a frosted writing area for easy labeling. A wide range of racks is also available for working at the benchtop or for secure and long-term storage of tubes in the freezer. Tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000 x g. They are autoclavable but not boil-proof. They can be used in a temperature range of -90 °C to 121 °C. APEX® soft-release microcentrifuge tubes are certified free of RNase, DNase, and DNA.
