L-shaped spreaders are ideal for evenly spreading bacterial cultures on agar in Petri dishes. The L-form allows application to the entire surface of the agar in the plate or Petri dish. The smooth spreading surface with a slightly upward slope reduces the risk of damaging the agar. Spreaders are made from high-impact acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS). These spreaders are supplied sterile in peel-packs of 5 spreaders each, eliminating the need for flaming or autoclaving.
