The Philips Lumify is a portable, highly mobile ultrasound system designed for interdisciplinary use in general medicine, gynecology, and cardiology.
The system consists of a transducer with integrated signal processing, which is connected via a USB interface to a commercially available Android device (tablet or smartphone).

The Lumify enables real-time assessment of blood flow directly at the point-of-care. The integrated Pulsed-Wave Doppler expands 2D and color Doppler imaging with an additional diagnostic dimension. Detailed hemodynamic information is available to the user, allowing for a differentiated analysis of blood flow – especially for distinguishing between arterial and venous flow conditions and for quantifying hemodynamic parameters within the framework of functional vascular diagnostics.
