Philips Lumify C5-2 Ultrasound System
The Philips Lumify is a portable, highly mobile ultrasound system designed for interdisciplinary use. The system consists of a transducer with integrated signal processing, which is connected via a USB interface to a commercially available Android device (tablet or smartphone; also possible with iOS devices with an adapter). Depending on the clinical question, various transducer variants are available, including a broadband linear, a convex, and a sector transducer (Phaser), allowing for a wide range of diagnostic applications.
The Lumify enables real-time assessment of blood flow directly at the point-of-care. The integrated Pulsed-Wave Doppler extends 2D and color Doppler imaging with another diagnostic dimension. Users have access to detailed hemodynamic information, enabling a differentiated analysis of blood flow – especially for distinguishing between arterial and venous flow conditions and for quantifying hemodynamic parameters within the framework of functional vascular diagnostics.
