The Silasil indwelling urinary catheter from Teleflex is a 2-lumen balloon catheter with a cylindrical or Tiemann tip and a balloon filling volume of 5-10 / 5-15 ml.
Two opposing eyes ensure problem-free urine flow. The material combination of latex with a silicone elastomer coating on both sides represents a compromise between comfort (high) and indwelling time (2 weeks).
Available with a cylindrical (Nélaton) or Tiemann tip in packs of 10 catheters.
Alternatives (see also Chapter I of the AUROSAN product catalog) include, for example:
- Latex: Rüsch Gold with siliconized latex
- Marflow silicone elastomer (silicone-latex-silicone)
- Silicone: BLUECATH (blue), CARE FLOW (transparent), UROSID (transparent)
