Strep A Antigen Rapid Tests (25 Test Cassettes)

Group A streptococci (e.g., Strept. pyogenes) can cause serious infections - e.g., pharyngitis, respiratory tract infections, impetigo, endocarditis, meningitis, puerperal sepsis, and arthritis. If left untreated, these infections can lead to long-term complications, including rheumatic fever and peritonsillar abscesses. Four key clinical symptoms indicate Group A streptococci in a sore throat: sore throat, body temperature > 37°C, tonsillar exudates, and anterior cervical lymphadenopathy without a cough. Most cases are found in children. This Strep A test is a rapid and suitable chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Group A streptococcal antigens from swabs.
