The Red Litmus Paper Roll measures 5m (length) x 6mm (width) and comes in a refillable plastic dispenser that ensures the long-term stability of the litmus paper by protecting it from many external contaminants. Red litmus paper is a simple, fully impregnated indicator paper that does not allow for exact pH determinations but rather pH adjustments in certain chemical reactions. For this reason, no color chart is included with the dispenser roll. The color of the paper changes from red to blue when the sample conditions change from acidic to alkaline. In neutralization reactions, it is the best-known indicator paper for determining whether the switch from alkaline to acidic or vice versa has occurred.
