Circumcision, whether due to phimosis, chronic infection, prophylactically, or for religious-ritual reasons, can be performed easily, quickly, and with minimal pain using Plastibell(R) circumcision devices.
The Plastibell method is one of several possible methods.
Plastibell devices are equipped with a pre-made notch. The plastic bell is placed over the glans, and the foreskin is pulled over it. At the point where the desired cut is to be made, a plastic band is now tied over the foreskin into the pre-made notch of the bell. The remaining part of the foreskin is optionally removed by cutting. The handle attached to the front of the bell is then broken off. The resulting tightness of the penile shaft skin is usually "loose," depending on the chosen bell size. The distal constricted foreskin part necrotizes and falls off after about 2 weeks along with the bell ring.
This method is frequently used in children. However, since Plastibell devices are available in various sizes, they are suitable for all age groups.
The devices are supplied individually sterile-packed. One sales unit contains 25 devices.
