These pH indicator sticks are ideal for determining pH in the range of pH 0 to pH 14. The rigid plastic sticks measure 80 mm (length) x 6 mm (width) and feature four separate pH test zones to cover the intended pH range. Each test zone has been infused with a non-bleeding pH indicator compound, optimized to prevent contamination of the solution and allow for the measurement of highly alkaline or weak buffer solutions. When testing pH, the strips produce a permanent color change, even when left in place, e.g., when testing low ionic strength solutions. An immediate result is obtained by color comparison of the four test zones with the enclosed pH color chart. The pH color chart accurately matches both the color and position of the pads on the strips. The results are easy to interpret and can be reliably determined, as the pH gradations are in steps of 1. The pH indicator sticks are suitable for many applications, both in the laboratory and in the field. They have the advantage over other pH measurement methods that they do not require additional equipment compared to liquid test kits and digital meters.
