NOVII+ POD for Corometrics 259cx

This next generation of the proven Novii solution for maternal and fetal monitoring is designed for use before and during labor and enables continuous, non-invasive measurement and display of the following parameters:

• fetal heart rate (FHR) • maternal heart rate (MHR) • uterine activity (UA)

Novii+ is strap-free and wireless, offering a comfortable option for antepartum monitoring and supporting mobility during the intrapartum phase. An optimized user interface, clinically accurate algorithms, and a thoughtful design that combines MHR, FHR, and UA in a continuous display help caregivers provide care for mother and fetus.

The Novii+ system, consisting of the Novii Patch, Novii+ Pod, and Novii+ Interface, is particularly easy to use: The Novii Patch with its five electrodes is applied to the pregnant woman's abdomen – entirely without straps or cable connection to the fetal monitor. The Novii Patch identifies the fetal ECG signal (fECG), the uterine electromyography signal (EMG), and the maternal ECG signal (mECG). The Novii+ Pod, which connects magnetically to the Novii Patch, captures the fECG and mEMG signals from the Novii Patch, filters, digitizes, and processes them in real time to obtain FHR, MHR, and UA data. The Novii+ Pod then transmits this data via Bluetooth® to the Novii+ Interface. The Novii+ Interface converts the data into signals in the correct format to feed them into your Corometrics™ Fetal Monitor. The Novii+ Interface also features a touchscreen with two slots for charging and pairing the Novii+ Pods.

An increased sense of security: Thanks to expanded application possibilities, including for late preterm births, Novii+ offers a comfortable and low-interference monitoring solution during antepartum assessment;

More freedom: Birthing women can freely choose their position and move. In addition, the "repositioning-free" Novii+ technology, once a good connection has been established, allows more freedom during the prenatal phase without staff having to frequently reposition the transducer;

More mobility: Studies show that restrictions on mobility during labor can increase the birthing woman's subjective level of pain and tension. Movement, on the other hand, strengthens the feeling of control, while lack of mobility can impair the effectiveness of contractions and the progression of labor. Novii+ supports mobility, for example through upright positions and walking, and can thus contribute to shortening labor time;

More choice: Give your pregnant women the freedom to do what is good for them – with flexible options during labor thanks to wireless Novii+. The Novii Patch and Novii+ Pod are waterproof when connected and can also be worn while bathing or showering.* Even with epidural anesthesia, FHR monitoring remains free of disruptive cables or straps.

Novii+ enables clear differentiation between maternal (MHR) and fetal heart rate (FHR), which reduces confusion. Novii+ also uses EMG signals from the uterine muscles to detect uterine activity (UA). Uterine EMG has been shown to be more reliable for determining UA than TOCO measurement (TOCO UA). In addition, Novii+ monitors electrical signals on the woman's abdomen that are not affected by a high BMI.

Easy integration: Novii+ integrates seamlessly into your existing workflows and connects to a compatible Corometrics 259cx Series monitor or Monitor 174. Data collected with Novii+ can be fed into your existing IT monitoring and archiving system, such as Centricity™ Perinatal Software, via your Corometrics monitor.
