MICRONAUT-S Pneumococci & Haemophilus MIC (40 Pl.)
Sensitivity testing with MICRONAUT-S plates is based on rehydrating antibiotics by adding a standardized bacterial suspension. After 18 to 24 hours of incubation at 35–37 °C, MICRONAUT-S test plates are measured using validated photometers, and the results are evaluated with the MICRONAUT6 software.
The MICRONAUT-S Pneumococci & Haemophilus MIC plates enable an accurate antibiogram for the following antibiotics:

Required materials / reagents:
0.9% NaCl tubes and 0.5 McFarland standard for the inoculum; already identified pathogen or at least a Gram stain
Mueller Hinton Broth, cation adjusted (CAMHB) or
MICRONAUT-H Medium for demanding bacteria (e.g. coryneform bacteria, Haemophilus spp., Neisseria, Listeria) and as an alternative test medium for streptococci;
NAD additive for Haemophilus strains;

Lysed horse blood for Streptococcus pneumoniae and other demanding bacteria;
