The reading ruler is an alternative to circular templates (MD1505) for the inhibition zones of antibiograms in agar diffusion.
The measured inhibition zone must then be looked up in the pathogen group-specific table of EUCAST (found at www.eucast.org or our media library at www.aurosan.de) to evaluate it.
!! Caution: The inhibition zone boundaries differentiate between R (resistant) and S (sensitive). Pathogen-specific breakpoints change regularly due to the evaluation of new clinical data and resistance situations!!
