Inoculating loops 10µl - blue, made of PE (1,000 pcs)

Inoculation loops or inoculation needles are standard equipment in every microbiological laboratory. While "inoculation loops" used to be made of metal and briefly heated over a Bunsen burner before each use, today predominantly disposable inoculation loops are used for inoculating culture media (loop) and picking individual colonies (needle).

There are several inoculation techniques, the basic principle of which is the streak plate method for reliable isolation of individual colonies after incubation (e.g., three-sector streak).

EUCAST recommends the use of 10µl inoculation loops (these are calibrated to this volume as the retention volume). Additionally, 1µl inoculation loops are common – mostly for picking from densely grown culture media.

Scope of delivery: 1000 inoculation loops (10 µl, blue), sub-packed and sterilized in bags of 20 pieces (sterile in peel-pack).
