Replacement blades for the Otis Urethrotome.

Urethrotome:

Otis urethrotomy (internal) involves blind transurethral sounding of the urethra with the Otis urethrotome and dilation of the urethra to the desired width, adjustable on the urethrotome. Subsequently, a blade is drawn through the urethrotome, incising the stretched urethra at 12 o'clock. After the urethrotomy, an indwelling catheter is usually inserted for 2–7 days, optionally under antibiotic prophylaxis. Regular urethral bougienage (by the patient using suitable intermittent self-catheterization (ISC) catheters) is suitable to prevent/reduce re-stenosis.
