EBV-Mononucleosis Ag Rapid Test (25 Tests)

Infectious mononucleosis (IM), also known as glandular fever, is an acute, usually harmless but very contagious viral disease. It is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), which is a member of the herpesvirus family.
The virus is transmitted through saliva contact, e.g. in kindergartens or through kissing (hence the English name "kissing disease").
Infectious mononucleosis is characterized by the variable combination of various symptoms, often lymphadenopathy, pharyngitis, fever, atypical lymphocytosis and splenomegaly. In rare cases, cardiac or CNS problems may occur.

This mononucleosis rapid test for whole blood (capillary / venous), serum or plasma is a fast and suitable chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of heterophilic antibodies of infectious mononucleosis at an early stage of infection.
