The dip-M UrinAX unwrapped dipslide is used for germ count determination, as a transport medium and for the selective cultivation of bacteria and fungi in urine.
UrinAX consists of a closed container with a 2-sided agar culture medium carrier with 3 media:
Side 1: The CLED culture medium is used to determine the total germ count in urine.
Side 2: The MacConkey agar for the selective cultivation of Enterobacteriaceae.
Side 3: The malt agar (MALT) for the selective cultivation of yeasts, e.g. Candida albicans.
