The cryoblock with polystyrene insulation ensures the safe transport of inoculated and frozen cryo tubes from the freezer to the workplace, protecting the tubes from thawing during this time. This way, the tubes remain deep-frozen and the cells stable even after 45 minutes of transport. Without using the cryoblock, the cells thaw after just 3 minutes.
The cryoblock is supplied together with a polystyrene box and offers space for 18 tubes. It is stored in the freezer.
