The Corometrics 259cx is part of the Corometrics 259 series of devices, which are configuration variants of the GE Corometrics 250 series. The differences are less in the basic CTG function and more in the features (color display, maternal parameters, interfaces, etc.). The exact features may vary depending on the software version and configuration.
259A
Standard fetal monitor of the 250 series.
CTG with FHR (fetal heart rate) and TOCO.
Monochrome display.
For routine antepartum and intrapartum monitoring.
259C
Extended version of the 259A.
Additional options for maternal monitoring possible (e.g., pulse, NIBP depending on configuration).
Often used in delivery rooms with network/central monitor connectivity.
259CX-A
CX = Color eXtended, i.e., color display.
Larger color display and more modern user interface.
Integrated maternal parameters possible (NIBP, SpO₂, pulse).
259CX-C
Technically largely similar to CX-A, but with a different equipment/option configuration.
Often supplied with additional communication or central monitoring options.
In many listings, CX-A and CX-C are treated as practically identical; the exact equipment is determined by the nameplate and the installed options.
