Columbia Blood Agar is used for the cultivation of sensitive gram-positive bacteria and is a standard medium in the microbiological laboratory. The product includes 500g of dry powder for the agar base, meaning an additional 5-10% defibrinated blood and, if necessary, inhibitors such as CNA must be added.
