CHROMagar™ Orientation (20 pcs.)

CHROMagar Orientation is used for orienting germ group differentiation in clinical laboratories, especially E. coli vs. Enterococci, as well as presumptive identification of Staph saprophyticus and Strep. agalactiae. CHROMagar media contain dyes that are metabolized and thus activated and incorporated by (only) specific bacterial species. The resulting color change of the medium and the colony coloration serve as a detection method for bacterial species - already on the primary plate. Advantages: quick orientation already on the primary plate. Disadvantage: less differentiated and (still) more expensive than the combination of standard plates.
