Bladder Tumor Marker Screening (BTM / hCFHrp and Hemoglobin Detection)
Bladder cancer (bladder carcinoma) generally refers to malignant growths (tumors) originating from the urinary bladder. Causes of bladder cancer include chronic inflammation, parasitic infections, nicotine consumption, the absorption of certain toxic substances such as aromatic amines and 2-naphthylamine, as well as radioiodine therapies, immunosuppressive drugs, and artificial sweeteners.
Bladder cancer is treated depending on its extent with local chemotherapy, systemic chemotherapy, or removal of the bladder.
The chances of cure are good with early detection. If the disease is already advanced with metastasis, a causal cure is no longer possible.
