BD Trichosel™ Broth (10x 8ml)

Trichosel broth with 5% horse serum is used for the isolation and cultivation of Trichomonas species.
Detection is best done in vaginal secretions, prostatic fluid, or urine sediment from morning urine. Currently, diagnosis is exclusively performed via microscopy, which requires an absolutely fresh sample for examination. The pathogen dies within a very short time after sampling and is then no longer microscopically detectable.
