APEX(+) Screw cap with O-ring, compatible with natural insert (1000 pcs.)

These colourful caps incorporate a deep internal lip that fits snugly against the inner wall of the tube. This prevents the contents from coming into contact with the seal or thread, thereby reducing the risk of sample contamination. Made from polypropylene, the same material as the tubes, both the caps and tubes expand and contract at the same rate in response to temperature changes (e.g. during freezing or thawing), thereby minimising the possibility of leaks. In addition, they have been tested together to 95kPa compliance, making them suitable for sample transport under UN3373 regulations when combined with appropriate secondary (e.g. Specisafe SH0100SS, SH0300SS and SH1300SS) and tertiary packaging (e.g. SH1000 or SH1200).


The top of the cap features a recess into which a colour-coded cap insert (CP3346 series) can be placed for easy sample identification. The cap inserts are also available in a variety of colours, you can choose from blue, green, purple, orange, red, white or yellow. This means that a wide variety of colour combinations can be generated to colour-code samples in the lab.


The caps are compatible with APEX plus and APEX White Label series tubes.


The caps are manufactured in a clean environment and are certified free of RNase, DNase, DNA, and pyrogens.
