APEX(+) Flat Cap with O-Ring, Natural (no insert possible) (1000 pcs.)
These colourful caps feature a deep inner lip that fits snugly against the inner wall of the tube. This prevents the contents from coming into contact with the seal or thread, thereby reducing the risk of sample contamination. As they are made from polypropylene, the same material as the tubes, both caps and tubes expand and contract at the same rate in response to temperature changes (e.g. during freezing or thawing), minimising the possibility of leaks. In addition, they have been tested together for 95kPa compliance, making them suitable for sample transport in accordance with UN3373 regulations when combined with appropriate secondary packaging (e.g. Specisafe SH0100SS, SH0300SS and SH1300SS) and tertiary packaging (e.g. SH1000 or SH1200).
The top of the cap is flat and can be labelled for easy sample identification, and the colour palette also allows for colour coding for "at a glance" identification of sample types.
The caps are compatible with APEX plus and APEX White Label series tubes.
The caps are manufactured in a clean environment and are certified free of RNase, DNase, DNA and pyrogens.
