90mm Petri Dish with Single Vent (500 pcs)

Petri dishes are routinely used by microbiologists to culture microorganisms on solid media. These 90mm single vent petri dishes are manufactured from virgin polystyrene in highly polished moulds to ensure the highest level of optical clarity. They are aseptically manufactured in cleanroom conditions (Class 7 ISO14644) to exclude microbiological contamination. The petri dishes are manufactured and tested in accordance with BS611 Part 2 which includes stringent dimensional controls. The precise dimensions make them compatible with a wide range of automatic plate pourers. The petri dishes have an external diameter of 89.25mm and a height of 16.2mm. They carry the CE mark in accordance with the European directive 98/79/EC and are for in vitro use only. The single vent design of these petri dishes limits gas exchange, minimises evaporation and dehydration and therefore is well suited for long term work.
