Alpha Laboratories non-sterile 50ml SuperClear™ centrifuge tubes are manufactured from high-quality, medical-grade polypropylene. The tubes are designed for more demanding laboratory applications than standard centrifuge tubes and can withstand up to 20,000 x g of centrifugal force. Both caps and centrifuge tubes are autoclavable (caps should not be autoclaved separately from tubes) and can be used in a temperature range from -90 to 122 °C. Each tube has an overall length of 115 mm, an outside diameter of 29 mm, and an inside diameter of 25 mm.


The centrifuge tubes are batch-tested and certified to be free of DNA, DNase, RNase, and pyrogen/endotoxin. They are also certified as low trace metal. When the product is designated as sterile, sterilization is achieved by gamma irradiation. The sterilization process follows ISO 11137 sterility procedures. The thicker SuperClear™ centrifuge tube cones are manufactured using the highest quality moulds and are printed in a high-speed rotational process with reagent/chemical-resistant inks. They feature large white solvent-resistant labelling areas and black easy-to-read graduations in 5 ml increments, with an accuracy of ± 5%. The easy-to-write flat cap design includes an integrated elastomer sealing ring. This allows the user to seal the tube with a ¾ turn to an evaporative seal. An additional quarter turn makes the seal liquid-tight. This easy-to-grip cap design is also simple to use with gloves.


These centrifuge tubes not only excel in performance but are also environmentally friendly. They are manufactured using waste-free electronic moulds, consuming 40% less energy. Printing is done without VOC pollutants. The 50ml SuperClear™ centrifuge tubes are supplied in bulk in 2 packs of 50 tubes.
