30ml Universal Container PP/PP Pre-labeled Sterile (400 pcs.)
Manufactured from virgin, non-cytotoxic polystyrene or polypropylene. These 30ml universal containers are CE marked in accordance with the European Directive 98/79/EC. For in vitro use only. The unique leakproof cap ensures an exceptional leak-tight seal.
These plastic disposable specimen containers have undergone process validation to ensure they are leak-tight at a differential pressure of at least 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi). The specimen containers have been tested in accordance with the following procedure under the US Standard Department of Transportation Code Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49, Parts 100-185 (October 2011 Edition): The primary receptacle or secondary packaging used for infectious substances must be capable of withstanding, without leakage, an internal pressure that produces a pressure differential of not less than 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi).
The detailed procedure is as follows:
1. Mark all samples with numbers ready for testing.
2. Fill all containers to at least 98% with coloured carbonated liquid.
3. Place the containers in the vacuum chamber/vessel and set the vacuum to 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi) for 10 minutes. During the process, a visual check for single or streaming bubbles is performed and the finding recorded.
4. After 10 minutes, remove all samples, place them upside down on a surface covered with white bench protection and check for coloured carbonated liquid leakage. Any leakage is considered a failure and rejected.
Passing this test means that these universal containers, in combination with the appropriate secondary packaging (Specisafe SH0600SS or SH1400SS) and tertiary packaging (SH1000 or SH1200) and labelling, are suitable for specimen transport in accordance with UN3373 packing instruction
This universal container is constructed from polypropylene with a polypropylene screw cap and a printed label. Supplied sterile. The spoon sealed in the cap facilitates the sampling of faecal or other semi-solid specimens.
