30 ml Universal + PP/PP Spoon Pr Label sterile (400 pcs.)
Manufactured from virgin non-cytotoxic polystyrene or polypropylene. These 30ml universal containers are CE marked in accordance with the European Directive 98/79/EC. For in vitro use only. The unique leakproof cap ensures an exceptional leakproof seal.
These disposable plastic specimen containers have undergone process validation to ensure they are leakproof at a differential pressure of not less than 95kPa (0.95 bar, 14psi). Specimen containers have been tested in accordance with the following procedure under the US Standard Department of Transportation Code Federal Regulations (CFR) title 49, parts 100-185 (October 2011 edition): The primary receptacle or secondary packaging used for infectious substances must be capable of withstanding, without leakage, an internal pressure producing a pressure differential of not less than 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi).
The detailed procedure is as follows:
1. Mark all samples with numbers ready for testing.
2. Fill all containers to at least 98% capacity with coloured carbonated fluid.
3. Place containers into the vacuum chamber/vessel and set the vacuum to 95kPa (0.95 bar, 14psi) for 10 minutes. During the process, visual inspection for single or streaming bubbles is performed and the finding recorded.
4. After 10 minutes, remove all samples, place upside down on a white bench protector covered surface and check for leakage of coloured carbonated fluid. Any leakage is classed as a failure and rejected.
The passing of this test means that these Universal containers are suitable for specimen transport in accordance with UN3373 packing instruction in combination with the appropriate secondary packaging (Specisafe SH0600SS or SH1400SS) and tertiary packaging (SH1000 or SH1200) and labelling
This universal container is made from polypropylene with a polypropylene screw cap and printed label. Supplied sterile. The spoon sealed into the cap facilitates the sampling of faeces or other semi-solid specimens.
