30 ml Universal + Spoon PP/PP No Label Sterile (400 pcs)
Manufactured from virgin non-cytotoxic polystyrene or polypropylene. These 30ml universal containers are CE marked in accordance with the European IVD Directive 98/79/EC. For In Vitro Use Only. The unique leak tight cap provides exceptional leak-proof seal.
These disposable plastic specimen containers have been process validated to ensure that they are leak proof at a differential pressure of not less than 95kPa (0.95bar, 14psi). The specimen containers have been tested in accordance with the following procedure as per the US Standard Department of Transportation Code Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49, Parts 100–185 (October 2011 edition): The primary receptacle or secondary packaging used for infectious substances must be capable of withstanding, without leakage, an internal pressure producing a pressure differential of not less than 95 kPa (0.95 bar, 14 psi).
The detailed procedure is as follows:
1. Mark all samples with numbers ready for testing;
2. Fill all containers to at least 98% with coloured carbonated liquid.
3. Place the containers in the vacuum chamber/vessel and set vacuum at 95kPa (0.95bar, 14psi) for 10 minutes. During the process a visual inspection for individual or streaming bubbles is performed and the finding recorded.
4. After 10 minutes remove all samples, lay them upside down on a surface covered with white table protection and inspect for leakage of coloured carbonated liquid. Any leakage is considered a failure and rejected.
Passing this test means that these universal containers, when combined with the appropriate secondary packaging (Specisafe SH0600SS or SH1400SS) and tertiary packaging (SH1000 or SH1200) and labelling are suitable for specimen transport in accordance with UN3373 packaging instruction
This universal container is manufactured from polypropylene with a polypropylene screw cap and has no label. Supplied sterile. The spoon sealed in the cap allows for easy sampling of faeces or other semi-solid specimens.
