SafetySpace™ filtered 2-120 µl tips are 51 mm long and supplied sterile in 10 racks of 96 tips. The tips are made from the highest quality virgin polypropylene and contain a polyethylene (PE) filter without “self-sealing” additives to avoid compromising the sample. The filter barrier protects the sample and/or pipette from aerosol and liquid cross-contamination and reduces the need for pipette maintenance.
SafetySpace™ filter tips are designed to leave more space between the sample and the filter than traditional filter tips. This ensures safe pipetting with any type of liquid or with any pipetting technique, as the risk of valuable samples being absorbed by the filter is minimized. The safety space feature is particularly useful when pipetting foaming liquids such as buffers and proteins, pipetting solvents, multiple dispensing functions of electronic pipettes, reverse pipetting, and all other applications that require additional space in the tip.
SafetySpace™ filter tips are compatible with the Sartorius Biohit family of pipettes Picus NxT, Picus, eLINE, mLINE, Proline Plus, and Proline. Ergonomic and easy tip attachment and ejection is enhanced by the Optiload feature of Sartorius pipettes, ensuring the highest possible accuracy and reproducibility. The SafetySpace™ tip racks are color-coded to facilitate volume matching with the appropriate Sartorius pipette. Due to their universal design, they are also compatible with a variety of models from other pipette manufacturers.
Strict quality standards, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, are followed from R&D to production and delivery. The tips are manufactured in ISO 8-certified cleanroom conditions to prevent any contamination. They are pre-sterilized by electron beam irradiation and batch-tested, and are certified RNase-, DNase-, and endotoxin-free. Batch-specific sterility certificates are available upon request. The tips and racks in this series are made from environmentally friendly materials that are 100% recyclable or can be incinerated as waste-to-energy.
