APEX® screw cap microcentrifuge tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing, and storage. These freestanding, versatile, and durable tubes are constructed of high-clarity medical-grade polypropylene and are designed for use in various laboratory environments. The APEX® 2.0mL graduated screw cap tube with a skirted bottom is 44.45mm in height and has an opening with an outer diameter of 10.41mm and an inner diameter of 8.64mm. Each tube features a matching tethered cap with a height of 6.10mm and an outer diameter of 12.95mm. The tethered cap features a synthetic O-ring that assures a leak-proof seal. APEX® screw cap microcentrifuge tubes are graduated in 100µl increments for more accurate estimations of sample volume. A wide variety of racks are also available for benchtop work or for secure and long-term freezer storage of tubes. The tubes and caps are manufactured from the same material and exhibit the same coefficients of expansion to ensure uniform expansion and contraction rates during temperature changes. Tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000 x g and are suitable for use within a temperature range of -196°C to 121°C, making them suitable for boiling applications and frozen sample storage.
