APEX® Screw Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing, and storage. These versatile and durable conical-bottom tubes are constructed of high-clarity, medical-grade polypropylene and are designed for use in various laboratory environments. The APEX® 1.5 mL conical-bottom graduated screw cap tube is 43.69 mm high and has an opening with an outer diameter of 10.41 mm and an inner diameter of 8.38 mm. The scale is divided in 100 µL increments for more accurate sample volume estimation. It is compatible with the APEX® Standard Screw-Cap, the APEX® Tethered Screw-Cap, and the APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Cap, which are available in a variety of colors and can be ordered separately. A wide range of racks is also available for working on the bench or for the safe and long-term storage of tubes in the freezer. The tubes and caps are made from the same material and have the same coefficients of expansion to ensure uniform expansion and contraction rates with temperature changes. The tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000 g and are suitable for use in a temperature range from -196 °C to 121 °C, making them suitable for cooking applications and frozen sample storage. However, they should not be immersed in liquid nitrogen. APEX® Screw Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are certified free of RNase, DNase, and DNA. Sterile versions are gamma-irradiated and certified pyrogen-free. They are supplied in a pack of 500.
