2.0 ml Cryo Tubes, Round Bottom, Internal Thread (100 pcs)

Designed for the safe storage of biological material and human or animal cells at extremely low temperatures, Alpha features three series of CE marked cryogenic storage vials.

All products in this range are certified RNase, DNase, Pyrogen and DNA-free. Alpha Laboratories cryovials are available in either a self-standing design or a round bottom design. All types feature an internal rounded base for easy sample retrieval.
Sturdy Vial and Closure – A special grade of polypropylene, selected for its consistent strength, is used to manufacture all our vials. This allows both the vial and cap to withstand the high temperature of liquid nitrogen in the vapour phase of -196°C and the thick wall makes the vial virtually unbreakable.
Please note they are not suitable for use in the liquid phase.
Secure Seal – Cap and tube are manufactured from the same material so they shrink and expand at the same rate to accommodate temperature changes, thus ensuring an equally secure seal both at room temperature and at low cryogenic temperatures.
Quick Open/Close – 1 ¼ turns are sufficient to securely close the cap. This is important when large numbers of vials are being used as it saves time and reduces the danger of the cap not being closed securely.

Easy One-Handed Operation – All self-standing vials, when used with a workstation (LW3400B or LW3400R), allow for one-handed unscrewing of vials. Vertical ribs make the cap easy to remove
Clear Graduations – in 100l intervals to assist easy reading of your sample volume.
Large White Marking Area – for sample identification and labelling.
Tubes can be colour coded with a cap insert (LW3339 range) and are compatible with most storage systems. Cap inserts are available in 11 different colours. Cap inserts are not compatible with LW3439.
Only round bottom vials can be centrifuged to 17,000xg.
Sterile – All vials are gamma irradiated to ensure absolute sterility.

Feel the Seal Range
Internal thread – with silicone O-ring
It's true, you really can feel when the cap is securely sealed. A positive leak-proof seal is enhanced by a specially designed silicone O-ring around the cap.
As you tighten, you can feel the quality of your seal as you compress the O-ring between the tube wall and the cap, creating a tight, leak-proof closure.
Ideal for storing important samples in large quantities.
