2.0 ml Self-Standing Cryo Tubes with Internal Thread (100 pcs.)

Alpha is designed for the safe storage of biological material, as well as human or animal cells at extremely low temperatures and has three series of CE marked cryogenic storage vials.

All products in this range are certified RNase, DNase, Pyrogen, and DNA free. Alpha Laboratories' cryo vials are available in either self-standing or round-bottom designs. All types feature an internal rounded base for easy sample removal.
Robust vial and closure - a special grade of polypropylene is used for the manufacture of all our vials, chosen for its consistent strength. This allows both the vial and cap to withstand the high temperature of liquid nitrogen vapour phase of -196°C and the thick wall makes the vial almost unbreakable.
Please note they are not suitable for use in the liquid phase.
Secure seal - the cap and tube are made from the same material so that they shrink and expand simultaneously with changes in temperature, ensuring an equally secure seal at both room temperature and low freezing temperatures.
Quick open/close - 1 ¼ turns are sufficient to securely close the cap. This is important when large numbers of vials are used as it saves time and reduces the risk of the cap not being securely closed.

Easy one-handed operation - all free-standing vials allow the vials to be unscrewed with one hand when used with a workstation (LW3400B or LW3400R). Vertical ribs make it easier to remove the cap
Clear graduation - at 100 µl intervals to make it easier to read your sample volume.
Large white marking area - for sample labelling and identification.
Tubes can be colour-coded with a cap insert (LW3339 series) and are compatible with most storage systems. Cap inserts are available in 11 different colours. Cap inserts are not compatible with LW3439.
Only round bottom vials can be centrifuged at up to 17,000 g.
Sterile - all vials are gamma irradiated to ensure absolute sterility.

Supplied in tamper-evident, resealable bags - clean and sterile.

Internal thread - with silicone O-ring
It’s true, you really can feel when the cap is securely closed. A positive leak-proof seal is enhanced by a specially designed silicone O-ring around the cap.
As you tighten, you can feel the quality of your seal as you compress the O-ring between the tube wall and the cap, creating a tight, leak-proof closure.
Ideal for storing important samples in large quantities.
