2.0 ml self-standing cryo tubes (100 pcs.)

Designed for the secure storage of biological material and human or animal cells at extremely low temperatures, Alpha features three ranges of CE marked cryogenic storage vials.
All products in this range are certified RNase, DNase, Pyrogen and DNA free. Alpha Laboratories' cryo-vials are available in either a self-standing or round bottom format. All types feature an internal rounded base for easy removal of samples.

Robust vial and closure - a special grade of polypropylene is used for the manufacture of all our vials, chosen for its consistent strength. This enables both the vial and cap to withstand the harsh temperature of liquid nitrogen vapour phase of -196 °C and the thick wall makes the vial virtually unbreakable.
Please note they are not suitable for use in the liquid phase.
Secure seal - cap and tube are manufactured from the same material so that they will shrink and expand at the same rate to ensure an equally secure seal at both ambient and ultra-low temperatures.
Quick open/close - 1 ¼ turns are all that is required to securely close the cap. This is important when large numbers of vials are being used as it saves time and reduces the risk of the cap not being securely sealed.
Easy one-handed operation - all self-standing vials, when used with a workstation (LW3400B or LW3400R), allow vials to be unscrewed using one hand. Vertical ridges make it easier to remove the cap
Clear graduation - in 100µl intervals to help make reading your sample volume easier.

Large white marking area - for sample identification and labelling.
Tubes can be colour coded with a cap insert (LW3339 range) and are compatible with most storage systems. Cap inserts are available in 11 different colours. Cap inserts are not compatible with LW3439.
Round bottom vials only can be centrifuged at up to 17,000 x g.
Sterile - all vials are gamma irradiated to ensure absolute sterility..
Certified free of RNase, DNase, pyrogen, human DNA and metals
Supplied in tamper-evident, re-sealable bags - clean and sterile.

Ultimate Security Range
External thread with flange/washer combination
Each Ultimate Security vial features a silicone washer seal that has been compressed on all four sides as well as an internal flange which secures the seal and reduces the risk of contamination to the cap. This unique combination provides the ultimate security for your most valuable samples.
