APEX® Tamper-Evident Microcentrifuge Tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing and storage. These versatile and durable tubes are manufactured from high-clarity medical-grade polypropylene and are solidly constructed for high-speed centrifugation up to 20,000 g on conical-bottomed tubes and 17,000 g on skirted tubes.
The APEX® Tamper Evident 0.5ml Skirted and rimmed microcentrifuge tubes have no graduations and are supplied with the cap loosely fitted so the tamper-evident seal is undamaged. Additional tamper-evident caps can be bought separately TE5326N The tubes are also certified RNase, DNase, DNA and Pyrogen free and can withstand extreme temperatures from -196 °C to +121 °C. The tubes and compatible caps are manufactured from the same materials. This means both the caps and tubes will expand and contract at the same rate in response to temperature changes (e.g. during freezing or thawing), minimizing the possibility of leakage. Furthermore, they have been tested for 95-kPa compliance, making them suitable for sample transport under UN3373 regulations when combined with appropriate secondary (e.g. Specisafe SH0100SS, SH0300SS and SH1300SS) and tertiary (e.g. SH1000 or SH1200) packaging.
