APEX® Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing, and storage. These freestanding, versatile, and durable tubes are made from high-clarity, medical-grade polypropylene and are designed for use in various laboratory environments. The APEX® 1.5mL Screw-Cap Graduated Tube with Skirted Bottom stands 44.45mm tall and has an opening with an outer diameter of 10.41mm and an inner diameter of 8.38mm. The scale is graduated in 100µl increments for more accurate estimations of sample volume. It is compatible with the APEX® Standard Screw-Cap, APEX® Tethered Screw-Cap, and APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Cap, which are available in a variety of colors and can be ordered separately. A wide range of racks is also available for benchtop use or for secure, long-term storage of tubes in the freezer. The tubes and caps are manufactured from the same material and exhibit identical coefficients of expansion to ensure uniform expansion and contraction rates during temperature changes. The tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000g and are suitable for use in a temperature range from -196°C to 121°C, making them suitable for boiling applications and frozen sample storage. However, they should not be submerged in liquid nitrogen. APEX® Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are certified RNase, DNase, and DNA-free.
