APEX® tamper-evident microcentrifuge tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing, and storage. These versatile and durable tubes are manufactured from high-clarity medical-grade virgin polypropylene and are solidly constructed for high-speed centrifugation up to 20,000 x g for conical bottom tubes and 17,000 x g for skirted tubes.

The APEX® Tamper Evident 1.5ml conical bottom microcentrifuge tube is non-graduated and supplied with separate caps. Additional tamper-evident caps can be purchased separately as TE5326NThe tubes are also certified RNase, DNase, DNA, and Pyrogen-free and can withstand extreme temperatures from -196 °C to +121 °C. The tubes and compatible caps are manufactured from the same materials. This means that both caps and tubes expand and contract at the same rate in response to changes in temperature (e.g., when freezing or thawing), thereby minimizing the possibility of leakage. In addition, they have been tested for 95 kPa compliance and are suitable for specimen transport in accordance with UN3373 regulations when combined with suitable secondary (e.g., Specisafe SH0100SS, SH0300SS and SH1300SS) and tertiary packaging (e.g., SH1000 or SH1200).
