APEX® tamper evident microcentrifuge tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing, and storage. Made from high clarity, medical grade polypropylene, these versatile and durable tubes are solidly constructed for high-speed centrifugation up to 20,000 xg for conical tubes, and 17,000 xg for skirted tubes.


The APEX® Tamper Evident 0.5ml Microcentrifuge Skirted Tubes come ungraduated with the cap supplied loose, leaving the tamper-evident seal undamaged. Additional tamper-evident caps can be purchased separately TE5326NThe tubes are also certified RNase, DNase, DNA and Pyrogen-free and can withstand extreme temperatures from -196°C to +121°C. The tubes and compatible caps are manufactured from the same materials. This means both the caps and tubes will expand and contract at the same rate in response to temperature changes (e.g. when freezing or thawing), minimising the possibility of leakage. In addition, they have been tested for 95kPa compliance and are therefore suitable for sample transport under UN3373 regulations when paired with appropriate secondary (e.g. Specisafe SH0100SS, SH0300SS & SH1300SS) and tertiary packaging (e.g. SH1000 or SH1200).
