APEX® screw cap microcentrifuge tubes are ideal for sample collection, processing and storage. These versatile and durable conical bottom tubes are manufactured from high clarity, medical-grade polypropylene and are designed for use in various laboratory environments. The APEX® 2.0mL conical bottom screw cap tube is 43.94mm in height with an outside diameter of 10.41mm and an inside diameter of 8.64mm. Each tube features a matching standard cap with a height of 6.10mm and an outside diameter of 12.95mm. The standard cap features a silicone O-ring to ensure a leak-proof seal. APEX® screw cap microcentrifuge tubes are graduated in 100µL increments for more accurate estimation of sample volume. A wide variety of racks are also available for benchtop work or for secure, long-term storage of tubes in the freezer. The tubes and caps are manufactured from the same material and have the same coefficients of expansion to ensure uniform expansion and contraction rates when experiencing temperature changes. Tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000xg and are suitable for use in a temperature range of -196°C to 121°C, making them suitable for boiling applications and frozen sample storage. However, they should not be immersed in liquid nitrogen. APEX® screw cap microcentrifuge tubes are certified free of RNase, DNase, and DNA.
