0.5-10µl XL Low Retention Pipette Tips

These extended, non-sterile 0.1–10 µl low retention tips are high clarity, natural coloured tips. Due to their universal design, the tips are compatible with a wide range of pipette models from leading brands, including the Alpha+ range of pipettes. They are 46 mm in length and graduated at 2 µl and 10 µl for quick volume verification. The extra length of the XL version allows the user to reach the bottom of many tubes without any part of the pipette entering the tube; this avoids potential cross-contamination between the sample and the pipette. Alpha Laboratories' low retention tips are manufactured from a specially formulated hydrophobic resin which offers users a higher level of confidence and control when pipetting. The enhanced hydrophobicity ensures less fluid retention and less sample loss than standard tips, perfect for working with particularly viscous fluids. The clean fluid release also means less time is wasted waiting for the final drop to fall from the end of the tip. In addition, the thinner walls and finely tapered tip construction eliminate the need for touching off on the vessel wall. Smaller volumes can be safely handled without compromising pipetting precision and accuracy. Strict quality standards compliant with ISO 9001:2008 are observed from R&D through production and delivery. Every batch of tips must pass the highest quality assurance tests. The tips are certified RNase, DNase DNA, and pyrogen-free. Sterile tips are further irradiated with electron beams. The tips can be autoclaved at 121 °C and 100 kPa for 15 minutes.
